Spiritual Aspects-From a Voice Hearer-Teachings From The Lord-By Jorge Gallardo Jr.
Certain writings may seem like harsh experiences, but no spiritual experience is intended to be unpleasant. In the human world we take the good and with the bad, this is why God teaches us to persevere. It is the same in the spiritual, do not let this discourage you from seeking God, the rewards are well worth it.

I came from a very poor, but humble background my parents did not earn much so we lived on the very minimum, from the age of five to the age of ten, we attended a catholic church and my parents did not read the bible to me. Nonetheless, we were taught about God, my grandmother, God bless her soul, would preach and tell us what the bible said, I believe it was due to her that we even attended church at all. At the age of sixteen, I dropped out of high school and went to work for a farmer, I was making four dollars and thirty-five cents an hour. When I was eighteen, I married my wife and went to work for a communications contractor, digging pits in coral rock, making four sixty-five an hour. Throughout my life I held several jobs, God blessed the work of my hands, each job I held brought an increase in pay. At the age of twenty-two, my son was born, I knew I would have to work hard to support my family, we lived in a two bedroom apartment at this time, as time progressed, I held a job as a forklift operator. Then as a salesman for a hardware store, at the age of twenty-five, I was laid off from the hardware store and applied to work for the city where I lived, after filing six job applications over time, I was hired two weeks after the layoff. Both my wife and I were working, we saved up a down payment and bought a brand new three bedroom, two bath house in the suburbs of the city. I was able to transfer to different jobs in the city, increasing my pay as I went and gaining valuable experience with each job I held. As time went on, my wife gave birth to two beautiful daughters, we had three children in total, I had achieved what my parents could only dream of, the American dream. I had everything a man could want, a house of our own, a happy marriage, three beautiful children, a decent job and two cars in the driveway. Financially we were stable, but the use of credit cards got us into trouble, we had four credit cards and thirteen thousand dollars in debt, I had an IRA which had six thousand dollars in it. I asked God to help me with this dilemma and was able to settle the thirteen thousand dollar debt with six thousand dollars, we almost lost our home to foreclosure due to missing payments because of the credit cards. After working seven years at the city, the union I was a member of sponsored a layoff, my job position was closed and I was laid off, the city broke a union rule and I was able to transfer upward to a job that almost doubled my salary. This I say was a blessing from God, a move in the right direction, I had not sought God earnestly or read the bible much, but I believed in him nonetheless, hence the scripture, he makes it rain on the just and the unjust. In the year 2000, I had been earnestly seeking him, at this time I started to have trouble with my marriage, I was kneeling by my bed, bible open, praying for help with my marriage when I heard a voice say; " God doesn't care. " This was the turning point, I closed the bible and decided to handle things my way, I stopped seeking him, in essence I became my own God, this was the beginning of my decent into darkness. I suffered a loss of Faith, then the Devil took hold of my life and bit by bit, he destroyed everything good about my life, every decision I made had his work written all over it.

Page 2

The trouble started when I lost my temper with my wife, the arguments were unbearable, we were always fighting about something, often over nonsense. In the year 2002, my wife and I separated, she took my daughters with her, then it was just me and my son, in the year 2003, we divorced. I put my house in order and set out to look for another wife, I still had my house, my car and my good paying job, I was making close to twenty dollars an hour, after paying child support and my bills, I still had money leftover. I had visitation rights with my daughters, but my now ex-wife still bitter over our breakup accused me of using drugs, she halted the visitation, I regret I did not pursue this. My home situation started to disintegrate and I knew my daughters would report this to their mother, I would have been considered unfit to have children with me, fortunately, my son was older and I had custody of him. I was working as a power plant mechanic at the city owned power plant, I had two retirements, health benefits, vacation time, sick leave, and was in line for a promotion to plant operations foremen, this was a very stressful job, but the pay was twenty-nine dollars an hour. After I was promoted to power plant operations foremen, this did not help my temper problem, I lost my temper at work, this scared my co-workers because of the violence at work situation, I was written up for this. Then the city ordered me to have a psychological evaluation, it was determined that I had anger problems, although, I knew this was the Devil at work. I was cleared to return to work, a few months later, I lost my temper again, this time the city called the police although there was no incident, they claimed they did this for the protection of my co-workers, even though there was no incident. They were in no danger at anytime, after which I was ordered to see a licensed clinical social worker for six visits, after I had complied with the city's requirements they were determined to fire me. I was called into the supervisor's office and on his desk was paperwork for termination, after several meetings, I wrote an apology letter and had to sign a promise letter, this meant if it happened again I would be terminated. During this time I was so depressed, my house was in disrepair, filthy and dark, so much that my son noticed there was a problem with me, he became very in content with this situation. My spirit was weakened, to the point I was always angry and whenever I went out side the sun burned my eyes, I could not look up, I was deep in sin, devoid of God. My son had problems of his own, but the combination of our home life situation and his problems lead to him becoming angry at me, moreover the anger was escalated by the Devil, I could tell by the look in my son's eyes. My situation did not help him at all, eventually, he left the house, now I was left to deal with the mess that my life became, I imagine he felt neglected, after this I fell apart completely and quit my job. I felt spiritually dead, had no friends or family members close by to help, and was not motivated to seek help, one day lying on my bed feeling close to death, I called out to the Lord and he restored my spirit.

Page 3

No longer employed, I cleaned my house, started reading the bible, and praying, nothing that God does is without purpose, I admit I was angry at God, though it wasn't his fault, he wasn't the one who said he didn't care, that was the Devil. The Devil urged me to go live my life as I pleased and I did, God allows us to choose our paths in life, this teaches us to deal with the consequences of our choices. In Romans 8:28-39; this scripture explains that in all things God works for the good of those who love him and that nothing can separate us from the love of God. The bible talks extensively about having Faith, because when we don't have it, we don't believe in him, this is the exception to the rule, not believing in him is a choice we as humans make and the consequences are great. Although, I lost everything I had, I learned my lesson the hard way, this was by my choice and the Devil was the thief that caused me to lose it all. Today, I still have my freedom, my life and my health, God waited for me to see what was best for me and that was him, Thank you Father for your faithfulness. Amen

In Genesis chapter 37; it speaks of Joseph, a young man of seventeen, he was the youngest of Jacob's sons, a shepherd boy, God chose him and gave him two dreams. In his first dream, his brothers were bowing down to him, in his second dream his whole family was bowing down to him, in those days the children were taught by their parents, there were no schools for them. God was showing Joseph his destiny, that he would one day be greater than his brothers, his brothers hated him because Jacob loved him more than them and because of his dreams. Satan was always pursuing God's chosen, Joseph suffered many trials at the hands of Satan, he was sold into slavery by his brothers, he was jailed in Egypt, he could have been killed, but God spared his life, he had bigger plans for him. God taught Joseph great wisdom, he gave him the ability to decipher dreams, the ability to manage whatever responsibilities that were given to him, Joseph always gave God the glory for his success. Joseph rose from being a slave and a prisoner, to second in command in Egypt, he kept the Egyptians from starving to death during the seven year famine. When his family traveled to Egypt looking for food, he not only cared for them, but he taught his brothers a valuable lesson, Joseph became a powerful wisdom filled man. Joseph's brothers were afraid he would hold a grudge against them, instead in Genesis 50:19-21; Joseph states: " Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don't be afraid. I will provide for you and your children. " Only a man of great wisdom would respond with such great humility, after the wrongs that were committed against him, by his own brothers. In 1 Samuel 16:10; Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but the Lord had not chosen any of these, David, his youngest was called in from shepherding the sheep and was anointed king over Israel. Like Joseph, Satan's intention was to have him killed, In the battle with the Philistines, Goliath could have easily killed him, but God was with him and gave him great courage, something he needed to be king. When God afflicted king Saul with an evil spirit, Satan not only afflicted Saul, he was also using him to try to kill David, God spared David's life at every attempt. Not only did David become a war hero, something that was necessary to win the peoples loyalty, he had great faith in God and drew his strength from him. In 1 Samuel 26:23; David states: " The Lord rewards every man for his righteousness and faithfulness. " In 1 Samuel 30:6; it states: " David found strength in the Lord his God. " After David was anointed king over Judah, there was war between Judah and the northern kingdom, Jerusalem, the house of David verses the house of Saul. The Lord used Abner to unite the two kingdoms, in 2 Samuel 3:18; Abner tells the elders of Israel to make David king over all Israel.

Page 2

" For the Lord promised David, by my servant David I will rescue my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines-and from the hand of all their enemies. " In 2 Samuel 5:3; David was anointed king over all Israel, David was thirty years old when he became king, he reigned for forty years. In Judah, he reigned seven years and in Jerusalem he reigned over all Israel for thirty-three years, by promise from God, Solomon the wisdom filled son of David, succeeded him as king of all Israel. In 2 Samuel 7:8-9; the Lord says; " I took you from the pasture and from following the flock to be ruler over my people Israel. I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cutoff all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men of the earth. " Like Joseph, David was the youngest of many sons, God chose him because he had a great heart, God taught him great wisdom, and he became the greatest king in the bible, not by his power, but by faith in God. Now comes the greatest king of them all, though he had no throne here on earth, he was destined for a greater throne, more powerful than David's, more beautiful than Solomon's and not of this earth. From the line of David, conceived by the Holy Spirit, foretold by the prophets, he is the Holy one of Israel, our savior and king, the Lord Jesus Christ. His story has its most humble beginnings, for this king was not born in a palace, he was born in a manger in Bethlehem of Judea, he did not rule from a man made palace, but earthly kings traveled a great distance to worship him. He was the king of the Jews, anointed by God who was with him from the very beginning, son of a carpenter named Joseph and a lovely lady named Mary, he lived a humble life. At the age of twelve, he was as wisdom filled as all the kings that came before him, in Luke 2:47; it states: " Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. " Unlike Joseph and David before him, Jesus came from God, his purpose was specifically to preach and bring the good news of the kingdom. He was thirty years old when his ministry began, in Matthew 3:13-17; " He was baptized by John, the spirit of God descended on him; and a voice from Heaven said, This is my son, whom I love, with him I am well pleased. " Unlike the others, Jesus spoke directly to Satan, in Matthew 4:1-11; he was lead by the spirit for forty days and forty nights, he wandered in the desert as the Devil tempted him. He answered the Devil's temptations with great wisdom, defeated the tempter left him, after this Satan used men on many occasions to try and harm or kill Jesus. But, the Father always protected him, no one dared to lay a hand on him, until the appointed time for the completion of God's plan. With great power, he healed the sick, gave sight to the blind and he freed those possessed by demons, most of all, he taught many great wisdom.

Page 3

In John 21:25; it is written: " Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. " Then there were the Apostles, the twelve chosen by the Father and taught by the Lord to carry on the word of God, after the Lord of glory was crucified. God resurrected him and he appeared to the Apostles as proof that the word of God would be fulfilled through him, in John 11:25; he stated: " I am the resurrection and the life. " After the Lord appeared to the Apostles, the Holy Spirit came on them with power, they were able to preform miraculous signs and wonders, Jesus told them, you will preform miraculous signs more wondrous than these. The last will be the first and the first will be the last, of all the Apostles, Paul's story was the most fascinating, he was the most educated of them all. As the son of a Pharisee, he was throughly educated in the law of Moses, his story is fascinating because, unlike the others, he did not see Jesus when he lived in the physical. He himself being a Pharisee persecuted the church, the Lord made him his chosen instrument, Satan wanted to use him to kill Christianity, but the Lord used him to further it. The combination of the knowledge of the law and the wisdom of God, made him a very effective preacher and teacher, not only did he teach the Jews, he also carried the message to the gentiles. By far, he contributed the most to the word of God (the bible), and carried the good news of salvation farther than the others. Keeping in mind, that the Apostles, except Paul, were men of humble beginnings for the most part uneducated, God turned them all into men of great wisdom and knowledge. God promised David that there would always be a man from his line to sit on the throne of Israel, but the Israel that God spoke about is not here on earth. The Israel that God spoke about is in Heaven, an incorruptible kingdom that includes both Heaven and earth, everything that is created, down to the realm of hades and death (Hell). If God could do this with Joseph, David, Jesus and the Apostles, just imagine what he could do with you, all you have to do is believe in him, the Devil is jealous of you and against you. But, if God is for you who can be against you, Heaven is prepared for God's human children and with a great king like Jesus, I can only imagine how great it will be, you should too. God Bless you.

The Guests-The Sheep and the Goats

In Matthew 25:31-34; " When the son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in Heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the king will say to those on his right, come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. " In Matthew 25:41; " Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels. " In Matthew 25:46; " Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. "
At the banquet in Heaven, the king will put the wise on the right, (those who accepted him) and the fools on the left, (those that rejected him), he will tell the wise, come be seated and partake of the banquet. Then he will tell the fools, Depart from me, you will not partake of the banquet, you are destined for punishment. When the king taught them all wisdom, the wise embraced the teachings and learned how to control themselves. The fools, on the other hand, rejected his wisdom and did not learn self-control. Which group would you prefer at your party, the wise group who can control themselves, or the drunken fools who cannot control themselves?

Worshiping-What defines a True Church.

In Matthew 7:24-27;
" Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash. "

The foundation of rock is wisdom, truths and the Holy Spirit, this is the foundation that Jesus built his church on, this is why he told Peter, " on this rock I will build my church. " The church of Christ, known as the way, has been persecuted in some cases almost to the point of extinction, at times in history, the church movement moved underground. The persecution is represented by the rain, streams and winds, due to its foundation of rock it still exist today and is stronger than ever.
Any church that is founded on rhetoric, lies and a liar, is on a foundation of sand, throughout history, these churches have emerged and disappeared. For example, churches that worship anything except God, have a foundation of sand, these churches do not last. They deceive those lacking wisdom, the truth exposes them for the fraud that they are, worship that is not based solely on God and the Bible, is a fraud, God commands us to seek him, he is the truth.

Prayers-Ask, Seek, Knock and you shall Receive

In Matthew 7:7-12; " Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good gifts to those who ask him ! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the law and the prophets. "

The Devil wants you to believe that God does not answer prayer, but if you believe in God, he will answer all of your prayers, you must have Faith in him. Remember, he works on his own time, you must not lose Faith while you are waiting, God requires that you be patient, like the saying goes, " good things come to those who wait. " He does this to teach us to be patient, we should also always remember to thank him for the blessings we receive, don't do like the story of the lepers, ten were healed, but only one gave thanks. God would never give you anything that could harm you, all his gifts to you are blessings, even evil people give good gifts to those they care about, how much more will your Heavenly Father give to you when you asks him. So do to others what you would have them do to you, if you give an evil person something good, what reason would they have to harm you?

The Tongue-So small, yet so powerful.

In the book of Genesis, God spoke and all that is was created, light and darkness were set in place, land and seas, vegetation on earth. God created man in his own image, he gave us a mouth and tongue with which to speak, as he has, these features were made for the speaking of wisdom, his wisdom. The Prophets spoke the word of the Lord, In 2 Samuel 23:2; it states: " The spirit of the Lord spoke through me; his word was on my tongue ", when they spoke it was God speaking to man. People often as entertainment speak badly of others, In Job 6:24; it states: " teach me and I will hold my tongue ", In Job 6:30; it states: " Is there iniquity in my tongue? " (KJV), Job is asking God to Guide his speech, as we all should as well. If you have a problem with gossiping or speaking lies about others, use this scripture, Job 27:4; " My lips will not speak wickedness, and my tongue will utter no deceit. " When it is others who speak badly about you, this scripture applies, Psalm 57:4; " I am in the midst of lions; I lie among ravenous beasts-men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords. " In Proverbs 26:28; it states: " A lying tongue hates those it hurts, and a flattering mouth works ruin ", when people speak badly or lie about others, they do this to boost their self-esteem. There are better ways to do this, one who speaks well of others, receives good feedback and is spoken well of, do good to others and they will do the same to you. Even worst, when a man is unhappy about his life situation, the Devil encourages him to blame God for his misfortune, In Matthew 12:36; it states: " Men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. " In Matthew 5:34-35; it states: " Do not swear at all: either by Heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great king. " When speaking, Matthew 5:37; says; " Simply let your ' Yes ', be ' Yes ' and your ' No ', ' No '; anything beyond this comes from the evil one, " do not listen to the Devil. In Romans 9:20; it states: " But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, why did you make me like this? " Does a man know the mind of God that he can instruct him? In Romans 14:11; it states: " As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God ", imagine yourself using the Lord's name in vain and having to confess this in his presence? Is it not better to confess, (Philippians 2:11); " every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father ", in his presence, on the day of judgment? In James 1:26; it states: " If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless ", this scripture states that Christians who curse and bless from the same mouth, their religion is considered worthless.

Page 2

In James 3:2; it states: " If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check ", A bit in a horse's mouth allows control of the whole animal. Large ships are steered by a small rudder, (James 3:5), " like wise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. " In James 3:6; it states: " The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by Hell. " Wild animals of all types are being and have been tamed by man, (James 3:8), " but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison, " the Devil makes his trade out of the wickedness of his tongue. He speaks evil and lies into the minds of men and encourages them to do the same to others, we must resist him and remember that God hears the words that come from a man's mouth. In James 3:9; it states: " with the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. " There is a difference between speaking evil about others and correcting someone when they are wrong, in chastising a brother or sister, we should always be respectful of their person, only God is a respecter of no persons, he created us all. If you have spoken to someone about a wrong they have committed and they refuse to listen to you, let them be, God will deal with them and pursue justice, do not gossip about them, lest you be accused of wrong doing. In Romans 12:17; it states: " Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. " In Peter 3:8-16; it states: " Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For, whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear, do not be frightened. But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who ask you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. " Your speech can be a powerful tool or an evil weapon, here on earth you have a choice on how to use it, but in the presence of God, would you rather be commended for it or punished because of it, you decide.
